The Proclaimers, formed by twin brothers Charlie and Craig Reid emerged in 1987. The duo are renowned for their singing style with a distinct Scottish accent and their infectiously melodic songs about love, politics, and life in Scotland.

Well-known for their most memorable songs "Sunshine on Leith", "I'm On My Way", "Letter from America" and of course, the hit single "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)”.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of their debut album This Is The Story. To celebrate the BBC has created a one hour documentary ‘Proclaimers: This Is The Story’ where superfan David Tennant talks to Craig and Charlie Reid about 30 years in the business which has taken them from playing small pubs and clubs across Scotland to become one of the nation's most iconic bands. This was broadcast in Scotland on BBC 2 TV on 18th June, with BBC 4 to follow.

After a six year hiatus the band returned with their third studio album "Hit the Highway" originally released in 1994. Includes the tracks "Let's Get Married", "The More I Believe" and "What Makes You Cry".
