Junk Son releases his debut album, Beginning Ending Pretending. The record was self-produced from his South London studios and released through 37 Adventures. Schoolmates of Bondax and Aquilo as a child up in the Lake District, Junk Son moved south and formed his five-piece band whilst studying compositional / classical music (the rest of the band were studying popular music) at the influential Goldsmiths College in London. Junk Son specialises in the kind of spacious, atmospheric music that is both blissful and effortless. Beneath every minimal melody and punchy statement snare, there are hundreds of richly evocative textures whirring and stacking up in the background; rising synth-swells, and barely there intrusions creeping through every spare gap
