Congolese Superstar

For over two decades, Congolese superstar Fally Ipupa has helped bring African music to the global stage, becoming one of the most influential voices of modern Congolese rumba and African pop.

With over 20 million combined social media followers, more than 3 billion streams worldwide, and a nomination for Best International Act at the BET Awards, Ipupa has built a truly global career while remaining deeply rooted in Congolese musical heritage.

His previous project “Formule 7” was accompanied by a striking performance on COLORS Studios and the album has already achieved Gold certification internationally.

Breaking Records on Tour

In recent years, Fally Ipupa has made history with a series of landmark concerts across Europe, proving the global reach of Congolese music. Highlights include: Paris La Défense Arena, Paris (40,000 capacity), OVO Arena Wembley, London (12,500 capacity), ING Arena, Brussels (15,000 capacity), Uber Eats Music Hall, Berlin (5 000 capacity), and various african stadiums.

The Paris show marked a historic milestone, with Ipupa becoming the first African solo artist to sell out Paris La Défense Arena, Europe’s largest indoor venue. Earlier in his career, he also sold out the 20,000-capacity Accor Arena in Paris, helping pave the way for the global rise of African artists performing in major European arenas.

Preserving and Reinventing Congolese Rumba

Ipupa’s music sits at the intersection of tradition and innovation. The artist carries forward the legacy of Congolese rumba, a genre officially inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list in 2021, recognizing its deep cultural importance and global influence.

Originating from Central African traditions and shaped by cultural exchanges between Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America, rumba remains a cornerstone of Congolese identity and musical expression. Through his work, Ipupa has continuously modernized the genre, blending its classic guitar-driven sound with contemporary pop, R&B and Afropop influences.

Philanthropy and Cultural Impact

Beyond music, Ipupa is deeply committed to social impact. He collaborates with global institutions including UNESCO, United Nations Development Programme and UNICEF.
Currently serving as a national ambassador for UNICEF in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ipupa has worked since 2017 to support initiatives fighting child malnutrition, a crisis affecting nearly 10 million children in the country each year. He also took part in the Paris humanitarian show “Solidarité Congo”.

The New Album: XX

With his upcoming album XX, Fally Ipupa enters a new chapter. The project stands at the crossroads between the global pop energy of his best-selling album TOKOOOS and the richer, more traditional instrumentation that has defined many of his earlier works.

At once contemporary and deeply rooted, the album highlights Ipupa’s ability to bridge generations of African music while exploring new sonic territories. The album also introduces new international collaborations, bringing fresh influences into Ipupa’s musical universe.

A physical edition (CD digisleeve + Vinyl) will also be released alongside the digital album.

Historic Shows at Stade de France

Just weeks after the album release, Fally Ipupa will make history once again with two landmark concerts at the legendary Stade de France in Paris on May 2, 2026 and May 3, 2026.

These performances will celebrate over 20 years of career and mark one of the most significant moments in the global rise of African music on the world’s largest stages.

Later this year, Fally Ipupa is expected to embark on a major international tour across Europe, the United States and Canada.
