It's a rare interview when someone responds to a question with an answer like, "We come from the mouth of God and the all-encompassing oneness," but the one and only PPL MVR are an unusual band. They look like three deranged versions of Chewbacca from Star Wars, and they communicate largely with screams, groans, and foot stomps.
Billboard caught up with PPL MVR at Sundance Film Festival in their first-ever video interview to talk about that "all encompassing oneness" -- and to go tubing, of course. "Look for us in your dreams," grunts a member of the band. Or maybe your nightmares? The band also has a five-song EP coming out in April, and each track will have an accompanying music video. "The creatures who follow us say that our message will come to fruition on 4/20, but there is no beginning or end to what we hope to share," the band tells Billboard.
