Tülpa is nineteen year-old LA based producer/songwriter/vocalist, Ivan Zhyzhkevych. Born in Ukraine, he spent his formative years in Pittsburgh training classically at piano. During high school he honed his skills on two classical EP releases, a pair of chill singles on Electronic labels Monstercat and Armada, and several independent releases. BLANKTS is twenty year-old Canadian songwriter/vocalist, Kathryn Phillips. The duo met over Twitter and instantly spawned a connection through music. In true millennial fashion, they became music buddies and internet friends for a year, sharing their new favorite songs and getting to know each other. During their first in-person meeting, Tülpa and BLANKTS ade music, explored Tülpa's hometown, and unexpectedly fell in love. Tülpa and BLANKTS went on to create stand-out collaborations including “Tea For Two,” “Lemon,” and “Gnats.” Forming as an official duo in 2016, the dynamic pair have created an emotional and soulful blend of thought provoking music inspired by Canada and personal experiences that are loosely reimagined off popular culture.
