These five tracks were recorded live in Tokyo, with Metheny's trio, featuring bassist Christian McBride and drummer Antonio Sanchez (“arguably his best” ensemble yet, says the Boston Herald), at the end of 2004, before they went into the studio to record Day Trip. Several tracks were previously available as downloads; this will be the first time all five are available together on CD.
