On the 20th March 2017, Forces' Sweetheart Dame Vera Lynn celebrates her 100th birthday.
As a prelude to this very special anniversary, she is releasing her greatest recordings
from the legendary Abbey Road Studios made between 1962 and 1974.
Featured are some of Dame Vera's biggest and best loved songs, such as “We'll Meet Again” and “The White Cliffs of Dover”
alongside other essential A&B side singles and highlights from her original studio albums of the time.
Five previously unreleased recordings by Dame Vera debut on this album, these include a 1960s re-recording of her
No. 1 UK hit "My Son, My Son" alongside beautiful interpretations of popular standards:
"It's A Sin To Tell A Lie," "No Regrets," "The Nearness Of You" and "Where Or When" (from the musical 'Babes in Arms').
Dame Vera Lynn notably selected photographs and contributed a message for this very special release.
Also featured is a personal tribute from Sir Tim Rice in the sleeve notes.
