Simply Red have accrued numerous accolades throughout their exceptional career, amounting to over 60 million records sold globally. On 22 October, Simply Red revisits many of their classic hits with the release of Simply Red Remixed Vol. 1 (1985-2000) from Warner UK/Rhino Records.
Featuring 22 songs, the 2-CD or digital collection boasts seven never-before-released remixes including “Something Got Me Started (David Morales Radio Mix)” from the band’s smash hit album Stars, and “Money’s Too Tight To Mention (United City Mix)” from 1985’s Picture Book.
Formed in Manchester, UK in 1984, Simply Red have dominated the British charts with ten UK top 10 singles, five #1 songs in the UK, two #1 tracks in the US, the top selling record in the UK in 1991 and 1992, five UK #1 albums, three Grammy® awards and two BRIT awards.
Simply Red has announced a UK and European tour which will kick off in February 2022.
The 30th Anniversary of the band’s multiplatinum record Stars, the 15th best-selling album of all time in the UK, will also be celebrated on September 30.
