Three-time GRAMMY® award-winning singer-songwriter, New York Times best-selling poet, and critically acclaimed actress are only a few titles held by Jill Scott. Before having the #1 album in the country with The Light Of The Sun, the triple threat began her career collaborating with musical icons The Roots, Will Smith, and Common in the late 90s. Never limited to music, Jill Scott is a true multimedia brand across books, clothing, TV and film, including credits such as Baggage Claim, Steel Magnolias, The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency, Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married? and Lifetime's Sins of the Mother.

Grammy® award-winner singer-songwriter Jill Scott earns her second consecutive number ONE album as the recently released ‘WOMAN’ arrives top the Billboard 200 list. The follow up to the 2011 critically acclaimed ‘The Light Of Sun’ which also opened at No. 1 is receiving outstanding reviews from both critics and fans.

ABC News praises how Jill “reasserts herself as one of the most soulful and earthy voices working in R&B today while “Rolling Stone proclaims that she “has never sounded as authoritative as she does on her fifth album” and US Weekly hails it as “spirit-enriching” music. Jill herself is describing the sound of this album as “classic Philly soul meets Country rhythm.

Released on July 24, 2015 through Blues Babes Records/Atlantic Records,WOMAN is composed of 16 soulful and eclectic tracks with poetic, powerful and enticing lyrics. Jill confirms her vocal ability as every note and run that escape her mouth are intoxicating. If there was ever any doubt that the Philadelphia native is one of the most powerful and prominent R&B voices of our time, her performance on this album erases any doubt.
