To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of The Waterboys’ Fisherman’s Blues, Mike Scott has trawled the vaults to create the ultimate companion to this seminal album. Fisherman’s box comprises the complete Fisherman’s Blues sessions 23rd January 1986 to 2nd June 1988, across 6 CD’s. The deluxe version of this release also includes a 17 track album from artists that influenced the making of the record.
Special 12 x 12 limited edition box contains:
- 6CDs of the sessions plus a 7th (Europe only) containing 17 recordings that influenced Mike Scott in the preparation of the album.
- 121 tracks (not including influences disc) with almost 90 previously unreleased
- A 32 page 12 x 12 format booklet containing An introductory 1600 word essay by Colin Meloy of The Decemberists,
a 10,000 word track by track annotation by Mike Scott & many rare, previously unseen photographs and 3 large format photographic prints
A 180gsm vinyl version of the original album direct metal mastered using the 2006 remaster.
