The Square is a poignant satirical drama reflecting our times – about the sense of community, moral courage and the affluent person's need for egocentricity in an increasingly uncertain world.
The soundtrack to “The Square” is a mind-blowing trip with electronic dance music, experimental hip-hop, also featuring a few calm tunes. Justice, Amok, and Jon Ekstrand, among others, take care of the violent and intense part of the album, while we can hear a couple of arrangements of Bach’s compositions (“Aria” by The Single Singers) and a brilliant and long a cappella tune by Bobby McFerrin called “Improvisació” 1.
The whole thing is a coherent and must have soundtrack album that perfectly fits the singular mood of this already cult masterpiece!
