Internationally renowned for his pictures “Black and White in Color” (Best Foreign Language Film Academy Award in 1976), “Quest for Fire” (Best Film and Best Director César Awards in 1981), “The Name of the Rose” (Best foreign film César Award in 1986) and “The Bear” (Best Director César Award in 1988), Jean-Jacques Annaud marks his great return this year with “Wolf Totem”.

James Horner is one the most successful and prolific film composers of his time. He scored some the biggest successes of the past twenty years: “Glory,” “Legends of the Fall,” “Braveheart,” “Troy,” “Avatar” and “Titanic” for which he received two Academy Awards®, one for Best Original Score and one for Best Original Song in 1998.

“Wolf Totem” is the fourth collaboration between Jean-Jacques Annaud and James Horner following “The Name of the Rose” in 1986, “Enemy at the Gates” in 2001 and “Day of the Falcon” in 2011.

“James is, for me, an exceptionally creative companion; together, we talk about the meaning of the film and agree immediately, sometimes even in a 24th of a second. I entirely trust him... Working alongside him is a unique experience.”

– Jean-Jacques Annaud
