The group was founded in 1975 by veterans of the Yugoslav popular music scene, Janez Bončina Benč, who was previously a guitarist and singer in the band Mladi levi, and later a singer in the bands The Generals, Srce and Jugoslovenska pop selektija - and was also the majority author of the songs of the band September - and Tihomir Pop Asanović, who previously played in the bands The Generals, Time, Pro arte, Jugoslovenska pop selektion, and also released two solo records. In addition to them, the first line-up consisted of the violinist Petar Ugrin, who previously played with the groups Mladi levi, Pop-jazz Ljubljana, Jugoslovenska pop selektija and in the Symphony Orchestra of the Slovenian Philharmonic and the Dance Orchestra of RTV Ljubljana, drummer Ratko Divjak, who previously played in bands Time, Dinamiti and BP Convention, bassist Čarli Novak, who was previously a member of the bands Srce and The Generals, and saxophonist and percussionist Braco Doblekar, who previously played in the bands Srce, Pro arte, The Generals and Jugoslovenska Pop Selekcija.

The band released their first album Zadnadja aventura in 1976, and all the songs were signed by Janez Bončina Benč, except for the song Leave a Trace, which he wrote together with Dad Topić. With their masterful playing skills and jazz-rock-oriented music, they soon attracted the attention of the public and critics. They were representatives of Yugoslavia at the youth festival in Cuba, they visited the Soviet Union, Germany and the USA. At the concerts, the famous guitarist Vedran Božić (former guitarist of Time) joined the group from time to time. The compositions Gwendolina and Zadnja aventura, which the group recorded on May 7, 1976 in Studio M in Novi Sad, were released on the album Rendevu s music, published on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of Radio Novi Sad.

Divjak, Ugrin and Novak left the group at the end of 1977 due to obligations in the RTV Ljubljana Dance Orchestra, and they were replaced by Marjan Malikovič, the former guitarist of the Kameleoni and Srce groups, Jadran Ogrin, the former bassist of the Kameleoni group, and Nelfi Depangher, the former drummer of the Faraoni group.

At the beginning of 1978, they went on a tour of the USA, where they recorded their second LP entitled Domovina moja, for which songs were written by Asanović and Bončina, at the Seabird Recording studio in Edgewater, Florida. The record presented a slightly more rock-oriented music with polyphonic vocal lines. Janez Bončina Benč, Tihomir Pop Asanović, Braco Doblekar, Ante Mažuran, Dani Gančev and Tone Dimnik played their farewell concert on November 5, 1979 in Zenica (BiH).
