For the Loving The Alien (1983-1988) boxed set, having discussed what David wanted to do to the Never Let Me Down album in 2008, Mario McNulty has produced ‘Never Let Me Down (2018)’ which is a much darker album than the original featuring new live drums by Sterling Campbell, new guitars by Reeve Gabrels and David Torn plus a string quartet.
 
The announcement of the Loving The Alien (1983-1988) boxed set will be on 19th July when we will release ‘Zeroes (2018)’ (Radio Edit) from ‘Never Let Me Down (2018)’ as a digital 1 track single for both download and streaming.
 
On 7th September we will release another track ‘Beat Of Your Drum (2018)’ (Radio Edit) from ‘Never Let Me Down (2018)’ as a digital 1 track single for both download and streaming.
 
Also on 7th September we will release a limited edition, one off manufacturing run, 7” Picture
Disc AA single of the two tracks ‘Zeroes (2018)’ (Radio Edit) and ‘Beat Of Your Drum (2018)’ (Radio Edit) featuring exclusive images by photographer Greg Gorman from the original Never Let Me Down album cover shoot.
 
These two radio edits will not feature on the Loving The Alien (1983-1988) boxed set.
