Grammy Award-winning, Platinum-selling, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and soon-to-be-inducted Songwriters Hall of Fame band The Doobie Brothers released their new studio album WALK THIS ROAD today via Rhino Records. WALK THIS ROAD is the band’s 16th album and their first-ever studio album featuring Johnston, Simmons, McDonald and McFee. It features ten newly recorded tracks including “"Walk This Road (feat. Mavis Staples)", “Call Me,” “Learn To Let Go,” “Angels & Mercy,” and “Lahaina” and was produced in Los Angeles with John Shanks.
The Doobie Brothers will play a very special, intimate album release show tonight at New York’s Irving Plaza ahead of a week of national TV appearances showcasing live television debuts of new music from WALK THIS ROAD. Tune in for incredible live performances on LIVE with Kelly and Mark (ABC), The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (CBS) and The Kelly Clarkson Show (NBC). At tonight’s Irving Plaza album release show fans will get a taste of what to expect on The Doobie Brothers’ North American summer amphitheater tour: all of the beloved hits, new music from WALK THIS ROAD, and the unmatched, reunited Doobie Brothers lineup of Tom Johnston, Patrick Simmons, John McFee and Michael McDonald. Ahead of those dates, the band will headline UK and Ireland shows as well as open Jeff Lynne’s ELO BST Hyde Park final show on July 13th.
The North American WALK THIS ROAD TOUR, produced by Live Nation, kicks off in Detroit August 4th and features special guests Jimmy Buffet’s The Coral Reefer Band on all dates. The Coral Reefer Band will keep the party going this summer bringing the hits of Jimmy Buffett to Parrot Heads and new audiences alike on all dates of the upcoming tour.
